Pusher Centrifuge Equipment For Solid Seperation

When to use pusher centrifuge for Multiple effect evaporator

When to use Pusher Centrifuge: 

  • When 5-7% moisture is allowed in the solids e.g. Solids sent to solid disposal grounds. 
  • Non Crystalline solids
  • Crystalline solids like sulfates, carbonates, and other salts.
  • A minimal 1000 kg per hour of solids are present

Advantages of Pusher Centrifuge: 

  • Moisture content can be as low as 5-7%
  • It can handle large amount of solids
  • No manual labour required

Disadvantages of Pusher Centrifuge:

  • Cannot be used for small quantities of solid output

Filter Process Equipment For Solid Seperation

When to use Filter Process:

  • When moisture content up to 30% is acceptable
  • Solids forming lumps after drying. 
  • Solids forming cakes when filtered
  • Non Crystalline solids

Advantages Filter Process:

  • It can handle any amount of solis(very less solids to very large quantities)

Disadvantages Filter Process:

  • High moisture content
  • Involve manual labour

  • Simple to use and operate
  • No maintenance required

Disadvantages of Nutsche Filter:

  • Cannot be used for higher quantities of solid output
  • Completedly manually operated
