- Vibro Feeder is the equipment used for feeding material to conveyors or other machines. It uses vibration to move the material in the feeder. Unbalanced Motor or Electromagnetic vibrator generate vibrations. A vibratory feeder is used in many various industries for automatic feeding from small to large quantities of feeding
A tray is installed in an inclined position in a Vibro feeder, and material is fed into the upstream end. The downstream part is the outlet of the Vibro Feeder. An unbalanced motor is used to generate the required vibration. The vibrating tray moves the material down the inclined slope of the tray. This motion feeds the material into the subsequent equipment.
The tray is supported by springs that allow the vibrating mechanism and keeps the tray in position.
VIBRATING MECHANISM OF VIBRO FEEDER EQUIPMENT

UNBALANCED MOTOR
This is a regular motor with two unbalanced weights attached to both ends of the shaft. The amplitude of vibration can be controlled by controlling the degree of unbalanced weights. The image below will show a clear picture of the mechanism.
ELECTROMAGNETIC VIBRATOR
Here an electromagnet gets energized and de-energized. In this cycle, the polarity of an electromagnet gets shifted repeatedly. This motion attracts an impactor. This impactor mass constantly moves forwards and backward to generate a vibration in the enclosure.
